The first week of the month is spent attending a career counselling seminar, following last month's redundancy. By the end of the week I have a new job. Business Account Manager for a German subsidiary of Lufthansa. Excellent conditions, home office, working with good friends and no longer stuck in front of a square box all day long. Starting in May and really looking forward to it!
Spending a very relaxed Easter break with friend Paulchen from Cologne. Taking my anticipated company car (Audi A4) for a test drive. Day trip to Brighton. Intellectual exchanges with my neighbour Paul who is a talented painter, and his equally gifted wife Lorna who is currently writing his autobiography.
As I still have a couple of weeks off I decide to pay a visit to my favourite city and fly to Vancouver for 7 days. Having a lovely time... cruising through downtown in my friend Lynn's snazzy (blue!) Ford Mustang convertible on a gloriously sunny day... roof down, sunglasses on... Lunching at Granville Market where you get the most amazing fresh food and best coffee... Girl's night out in False Creek... Walking all the way around beautiful Stanley Park... And of course lots of shopping!
