It must be carnival time in Germany because mother is visiting during the midst of winter. She likes to get away from the drunken fools that take over the streets of Cologne. As a child and teenager I used to love the dressing up and partying but I can't say that I miss the madness too much now.
As always Mutti and I have a nice time pottering around Guildford, Spitalfields and shopping in Kingston.
My birthday is spent quietly with Robert. We discover Newlands Corner which has stunning views over the Surrey hills and enjoy a romantic dinner at one of my favourite restaurants, the Bell & Dragon situated in a beautifully converted church in Godalming.
