Changes at work as I begin my new role as Direct Sales Manager. A lot to learn but I enjoy it. I realise how good it feels to no longer have to deal with problems all the time. My first challenge is a mailing to 1200 customers and potential clients and the implementation of a telesales structure.

I experience the most romantic birthday and Valentine's Day ever as Tom takes me to Paris. We travel in comfort on the Eurostar and have a wonderful time exploring Mont Martre, Sacre Coeur, the Eiffeltower and Notre Dame. I love travelling with Tom and spending time with him in general. He is so chilled, yet very alert and interested in the world around him. He opens my eyes to so many things and watches over me at the same time. I can honestly say that I have never met a man who is so thoughtful, perceptive and wonderful.

Tom almost meets my mother but they miss each other by a few hours as she arrives in London and he flies off to the States for two weeks.

Ulla, my mother, stays with me in Bath and meets my friend Mark instead. We embark on our usual tour to the lovely booktown of Hay-on-Wye and Llanthony Abbey in Wales which is only a 1.5 hours drive from Bath. A nice and relaxing few days.

The sparkling Eiffeltower looked amazing against the falling night sky

On top the Eiffeltower, it was cold!
