I feel very smug because I of course never really expected the BIG BANG to repeat itself with such clockwork precision on the strike of midnight 2000... I dared to spend this special occasion in a big city, albeit one that was about 9 hours behind GMT, so there was plenty of time to hold my breath over any potential millennial hick-ups throughout the world before the hour of truth finally reached my beloved VANCOUVER! Upon learning that I would be present for this crucial moment my friend Lynn quickly decided to win 4 tickets to attend a local radio station's super party at The Commodore... not quite the brilliant fireworks that showered upon London, but nevertheless a blast spent with one of my closest friends!
