Remember, remember, the 5th of November... This is when Guy Fawkes got caught whilst trying to set the parliament on fire some centuries ago. In memory of this the British celebrate bonfire night, which is a lovely affair of huge bonfires and fireworks. Only this year the efforts are pretty much drowned... the country sees the worst floods ever! Can't even make it to work on a couple of days due to road closures everywhere. This reminds me of Cologne which has suffered some terrible floods too...
Remember the psychic I went to see in August? She said I'd go to Canada in November - and so I did! A 2-week biz trip to Calgary and Boston, again for the purpose of presenting my software training course to our overseas customers. And of course I make sure to squeeze in a weekend in Vancouver, it is after all only an hour's flight from Calgary. Re-opened talks with company in Calgary re a possible job offer. Watch this space...
