Exciting times! My friend Fiona just happens to win two tickets on London's Capital Radio - to go to the BAFTA's on Sunday, 9th April!! To those non film buffs out there... BAFTA stands for British Academy of Film Awards - the UK equivalent to the Oscars! Yes, we did walk down that red carpet at Leicester square, we stood within touching distance of a rather short but nevertheless lovely Mick Jagger (of course we didn't!!) and caught a glimpse of even lovelier Kevin Spacey, Elle MacPherson and that British hairdresser... Nicky Clarke I think... A brilliant evening rounded off by a wonderful Champagne dinner at the Cafe Royal. Glam life?? Absolutely!! :)
The rest of the month is spent in mad frenzy, finalising the biz plan for www.snogg.net, meeting with a TV company re a possible sponsor deal, working on the design etcetera etcetera... snogg.net is my brainchild - a respectable online introduction service with a bit of zest, horoscopes and funky features... hey, I've been doing this myself for a couple of years now, meeting people in cyberspace... it's a great (and cheap) way of making new friends and, in some cases, even finding that special someone! What can I say, but - IT WORKS!! A lot of the credit for getting it off the road goes to my friend Fiona, snogg.net would not be where it is without her!
